Wow, thanks, RC! I’m really glad you liked it (and that it brought back happy childhood memories.)

Yeah, I also think the style has a bit of that Americana nostalgia to it — especially when you see it at its actual size in a frame (like what I have at home). It’s very cool to hear that it helps to get you engaged with the characters, too — the whole point of a cover, after all.

(And luckily you won’t have to bite those nails very long — we’ll be sending out the first chapter on March 1!)

Yeah, that’s what I meant by smooth, that makes more sense as to why it doesn’t have any paintbrush strokes. I’m soo blind sometimes! Photoshop is a good program, I use it a bit myself, but I could NEVER do anything as good as this!

So far so good, I’ve enjoyed just looking around and seeing all that you have to say. And I highly doubt that at any time will this become something that I don’t find worthwhile. I most definitely will enjoy your upcoming works. ^_^

Thanks for the props! I glad you found Winona’s work beautiful. (And if by “smooth” you mean clean and with good detail, I agree — although we did not scan in the painting. While Winona does work with traditional media, for the best quality we painted this digitally — so it started and finished in Photoshop. Still looks like it was made with traditional paint, but it’s super clean with great detail even at large sizes.)

And I certainly hope you ENJOY being a member here (although for some of us a “hard time” isn’t such a bad thing with yaoi ) And I hope you continue to find your time here “worth it” — and that you’ll enjoy the work we’ll be coming out with this summer.

That is exactly the sort of art that would have me picking up a book and inhaling deeply (maybe licking too, on my more obsessive crazy days.) I am definitely excited about Yaoi911′s release of this piece!

Ms. Nelson’s painting is so lush and mysterious! If I was walking down the street, and this painting was in the front window of an art gallery shop, I would be plastering myself to the window, and then, once I regained my footing, I would walk through the door…Holy moley! I was just over at her home site gallery – her ‘fine art’ prints are magnificent!

Oh lookie how easy it is to walk my fingers over to the Imagekind and Zazzle galleries…

Yeah, Winona’s got some real game. And she’s a lot of fun to work with. I feel very lucky to have her working on our stories.

And thank you for the props — I’ll definitely pass on your kind words to Winona. And yeah, I’d feel nervous too if I were those characters. But then, this is Yaoi 911 – I bet they have a few tricks up their sleeves. In fact, I know they do…

Glad to hear you’re looking forward to the comic. In terms of where we are for this story, the pencils for Chapter 1: “Tough” are now finished as is the lettering and we’re a third of the way through the colors. Should be able to show the “end result” soon. And that’s pretty exciting. Been looking forward to sharing this story for a while now.
