i didn’t get the welcome e-mail or the links i even checked spam 🙁

    • Well heck, that’s no good. Let’s see if we can figure out what happened. I see that you’re subscribed on the list. When you say you checked your spam folder, did you check it using the web interface online? Sometimes desktop email programs have their own spam folders that are separate from the one, say, Gmail or Yahoo uses.

    Greetings Alex,
Today I read chapter 1 and 2 of “tough”. I must say its absolutely wonderful.I only just came to realise that “young protectors” is your comic also, which I first read a few months ago and fell in love with. I love how your writing and context is down to earth, and very believeable for someone my own age. I really feel a connection with these characters. I really love the art in this comic, the style is wonderful, and if I dare say, gets the heart racing ;). I’m really looking forward to chapter three it will be interesting to see how mike handles the situation with his sis haha.
Thankyou for the work and time you’ve put into these works so far 😀 I cant wait to see where they go from here.

    Please, can somebody help me?
I don not know how to dowload a comic.

    • Howdy,

The first step is to sign up using the form on this page. When you do that, you will be sent a Confirmation Email and once you click the confirmation link in that email, you will be sent a Welcome Email. In that Welcome Email, there will be links you can click on to download my comics.

If you don’t receive either one of those emails, please check your Spam folder for them. Gmail has an especially aggressive spam folder and if you use Gmail, you’ll need to log into your Gmail account on the web to click the Spam folder on the left sidebar. If you find the emails there, be sure to choose Not Spam for them (some people also choose to mark them as Important) to make sure you will not have this problem in the future.

Please let me know if this helps! Thank you for your interest in my comics!

Hi, I love ALL your comics (I want more of The Young Protectors and maybe Artifice 2, can you??? Pleaaassee???) <3 But, I have a problem, I can't download them, how can I do it?

Sorry for my bad english, I can read but not write D:

    • Howdy Yamuri Falcon!

I just tested the links and they seem to be fine. Can you describe to me where you are having the problem? Have you received the Welcome Email with the links? What happens when you click one of the links?

I’m sure we’ll be able to figure this out. 🙂

wow i have to say, this comic is rly nice! 🙂 Thank you so much for taking the time to make it for free, i cant wait to see the next chapter. It fits in really well in a real life situation and feels almost as if it happened to someone and you’re just telling the story 🙂 and some nice intense moments (y,know 😉 ).
Keep up the great work! 😀

Dear Alex, I adore your comics! You’ve established a very fantastic and talented team of artists to accompany your excellent writing! I was reading your letter at the end of Tough and a question came to mind I couldn’t shake. I apologize if it has already been addressed, but I was curious of your opinions of homosexual superhero characters and how they are portrayed, particularly from Marvel and DC who give us our most iconic superheroes. Just from the top of my head, there are the superhero couples of Shatterstar and Rictor, Apollo and Midnighter and, my personal favorite and whom spurred me to ask, teen superheroes Wiccan and Hulkling, which the writer for Young Avengers vol. 2 claimed will be the primary romantic couple of the upcoming series.

    • Thank you very much for all the kind words, EyePennies! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the comics.

And in answer to your question, out of the characters you’ve listed, I’d be partial to Wiccan and Hulking. I just finished the Children’s Crusade and while I wasn’t thrilled with the ending, I loved the rest of it a lot. 🙂

    hello! i’m new here xD
ahmm.. i love your work soo much!really inspires me! (sorry for my bad english)
uhmm…i sing up in the list , but i didn’t recive any e-mail of confirmation. i read the other questions about it and i didnt understand , sorry xDD

    • Thank you for the kind words and welcome, aetlama!

      Two things to check:

      1) Did you sign up for the mailing list using the form on this page? You need to use this form. (Some people get confused and sign up for other things I offer, but this is the place to sign up for my mailing list and the free comics.)

      2) If you did and you haven’t gotten any emails, have you checked your Spam folder by logging into your Hotmail/Gmail/etc. account on the web? The Confirmation email might be there and if it is you must 1) mark it “Not Spam” and 2) click on the link inside it to confirm your subscription.

      Does this help?

  9. baycostumer says:

I love both Artifice (soo excited for the graphic novel!) and Young Protectors! I signed up for the updates/mailing lists/free comics, and I got the confirmation email and everything! The only thing is I try and open up the attachment, and i can’t see anything when it opens with windows contacts and it downloads as a V card file…. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Maybe. 🙂 The attachment to the Confirmation Email is, in fact, a Vcard—it’s a quick way to add the mailing list email address to your own address book (which can be one way to make sure my emails don’t wind up in your spam folder).

You actually don’t need to deal with that attachment at all. What you want to do is click the link that’s in the confirmation email. When you click that, that confirms that you did in fact want my emails and you’ll then be sent a Welcome Email which will have the download links to my comics.

      Does that make sense?

Hm, I’ve signed up two different times now, once a few months ago and just now. But I have never gotten my confirmation email for either time. I get the newsletter without problems. My spam filter cannot block this and not show it it my folder, I’m using aol. Is there another solution I could try?

  11. kristclaire says:

love all your free comics. Can’t wait to read the chapter 3 of Tough! God bless and more power. 🙂

  14. varric says:

Hello Alex Woolfson. Can you make daddy and son type comics? Daddy is like 45-50 years old and son is like 20+?. I love the story of The Young Protectors. Very interesting. I hope there is more follow up story chapters and what will happen between Kyle and Duncan, and if ever Duncan will really fell in love with Kyle in the of the story?

Thank you very much for your free comics. It’s amazing and i do enjoy them a lot. 🙂 God bless and keep up the good work!!!

  15. nellouette19 says:

  16. iceley11 says:

    Hello Alex 🙂
Thank you so much for the free comics 🙂
I read the email and it’s kind of sad that people would sign up for a newsletter then report the emails as spam.
Anyway, thanks again for the wonderful works 😀
I hope to see more updates soon 🙂

  17. Titus says:

So just curious how would we go about getting a new download link sent. I signed up a LONG time ago, and my email seems to have deleted the download link. I still get news and updates and all that, but i can figure out how to get the free comics again.
